In 2016, the Phillips family were the last residents evicted from the Elmington Estate in South London.
Having refused to leave, they successfully fought to be re-housed in their local area of almost 40yrs.
MOODSWING takes you inside their new home - a laboratory of light and sound where a community of DJ’s, Producers,
and MC’s begin to re-create a sound that was lost. An intimate portrait filmed over 6yrs, MOODSWING situates the
Phillips’ family story within a wider social and sonic continuum ~ woven from legacies of perseverance,
struggle & joy, and expressed in the sounds of underground UK dance music.
